ISOLA Bookshelf: frequently asked questions

- What material is the bookcase made of?
The frame and shelves are made of metal (pickled steel) and finished with an epoxy-polyester resin powder coating, ideal for indoor furniture as it provides better colour retention over time and greater resistance to high temperatures.
- How is the bookcase constructed?
The bookcase consists of vertical and horizontal tubes and interlocking shelves. It is supplied flat-packed with assembly instructions so anyone can easily assemble their bookcase at home.
- How deep is the bookcase?
The bookcase is 36 cm deep.
- Is the bookcase freestanding or does it need to be fixed to the wall?
The frame is designed to be freestanding. However, stability is not guaranteed, especially for taller versions and depending on the loads placed on it. For this reason, and to prevent tipping, wall fixing is recommended. Each bookcase comes with fittings for wall mounting. Wall plugs are not included, as they must be purchased according to the type of wall the bookcase will be fixed to.
- Where can I put the bookcase in my home?
The bookcase can be used in many ways: in the living room for books and decorative objects, in the kitchen as open pantry storage, or in the bathroom for towels, soaps, perfume and decorative plants.
- Can it also be used outdoors?
No, our bookcase is for indoor use only and cannot be used outdoors.
- What is the maximum weight each shelf can hold?
Each shelf can hold a maximum of 30 kg. We always recommend distributing the weight evenly to ensure the bookcase remains stable.
